Hey you crazies from the Class of '71, another Dave checking in!! I was on board from mid '67 through the summer of '69. Graduated in Memphis in '71.
I have caught up with, emailed, or talked to several... Barb Buchannan, Bob Merrill (and family), Brooke Heagerty, Stuart Morrisson, Dewey Bunnell... (rode an elevator with Gerry, but I wasn't sure if he remembered me... or wanted to), saw another Jerry... (McGrath, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to remember him!!), spent quality time with Dick Turner (class of '70) while attending college in Gainesville Fla.
Mr. Pinneo, you were one teacher who changed my life, as did my science teacher, Mr. Delaney, not to forget Mr. Threlkheld, Mr. Rivers, and Mr. Rutan (don't even remember the class subject - but that enigmatic demeanor was unforgettable!!), and to all back then, thanks!!
I have always wondered that time seemed to have stood still for us back then... considering the incredible turmoil that was actually going on in the world back then. (maybe some of you were caught in problems I never realized... , sorry.)
We were treated to a glimpse of awesome culture and beauty, and many of us bastardized it with our own brand of customized American behavior.
But what a great time really. Lots of Brits understood our unhinged exuberance... though some scoffed and took "none of our mickey."
I've never lost my grins or heart from back then, thanks to all.
I would have been Central High Class of 1971, but we moved back to the States in 1966, after just one year (7th grade for me) at Bushey Hall. I still have my old Bobcats sweatshirt (very wearable, only a little small) and lots of fond memories. Looking for anyone who shared even parts of the same experience, but especially alumni of Mr. Bryson's 7th grade class. David Applegate Chicago, IL
My name is Andrew MacDonald. I'm looking for classmates from 1971. I can be reached at andymac@theriver.com My old pals Tony Francis and Ed Stolle are doing well.
Hey class of '71! Tom Wilson, our newly elected social director, has recommended that we crash the 2004 Reunion in San Antonio being hosted by the class '79. Spread the word! Jeff
Does anyone know whatever happened to Sue Mueller 72'? Thanks, Tom Wilson
Dixie Hidgon...WHERE ARE YOU! You left a phone message on my machine back in 1986. I had just gotten back from Happy Hour and couldn't work the machine..and, deleted your number. I've tried every "Dixie" in Dixie! If you get this .... send me an E-Mail. Jeff
Jeff Johnson is the man!! What kind of man I'm not sure. But he takes great pictures, has a great lake house, has LOTS of "adult beverages" and is just an all around great host when it comes to party time. jeff only send the GOOD pictures!!! Tommy Boy
Does anyone know whatever happened to Rich Mier or Jim Bittner? I thought Rich had survived his going away party at his flat in Harrow back in '70 but I could be wrong. It was hard to tell if Rich was alive or dead most of the time. This 1971 bulletin board could get fun. Jeff Johnson
Does anyone know the whereabouts or status of Anne Elizabeth Ball, LCHS Class of 71? We were friends way back then (I am a Lakenheath '71 alum) and I've often wondered what became of her after graduation. My email address is davewhiteav8r@aol.com . Thanks!
